My name is Giulio Avolio, I live in Adelaide, South Australia.

I have always been passionate about building things, mostly things that move. From conceptual through to commissioning, the anticipation and satisfaction of watching your project come to throition is a wonderful thing.

It was with this passion that I decided to build a Locost Clubman style car. I wanted something with a bit more room and comfort but still maintain the clubman style. This is why I have chosen to design and build my car from scratch.

Thanks to the internet, most of the information I needed was readily available, together with the services of Doug Potts (Australian Technology Pty. Ltd.) I was ready to embark on my journey.

This web site will be a running report on how my car project is progressing. At the end of the project, I will (hopefully) be able to enjoy my car and post a few short stories of where this journey has taken me.

The avolio C1® (my car) is based on the Locost Clubman, which is a modern version of the Lotus7, the car is substantially larger than a Locost, I like to think of it as a touring car rather than a sprint car.
